Flashback :)

My blog friend Texas Holly a/k/a June Cleaver Nirvana is having a little linky party over at her place. You are supposed to choose a post that you would want someone to read if they could read one post on your blog.

Hmmm... Well I don't have a lot of brilliant works in my posting library. I do have one though that some of my friends still talk about today. The first part is titled boys and then there was a follow up post that same day. I posted this way way way way back in February. I was just a month into my blogging experience and I had like 3 commenter's. My cousin Stacy, my new blog friend Valarie in Mexico (look she spells her name like me! That's why we are such good friends), and Carrie at Stop Screaming I'm Driving.

So without further ado, I give you February 6, 2008(insert Waynes World dream sequence... doodly do, doodly do, doodly do)

BOYS

Ok, so my son is into wrestling. It’s something I am trying to work through. I know that boys will be boys and all that, but I really wish he would focus some of that attention into other things. Things like world peace, cancer, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop.
This weekend though the wrestling obsession hit a new low, and made my blood pressure go up.
It all started as any other Sunday morning would. We woke up a bit too late and were all trying to get ready for church. As I go into Lil Logans closet I notice something strange and out of the ordinary. What I noticed had not been there when I left to go eat a birthday dinner with my Mom and two Sisters the night before. (that’s a whole other story) What I noticed was this Barbie doll in the middle of the closest floor and then I saw another one. Now I do have girls, but they are way beyond playing with Barbie’s. These Barbie’s though were new! My mind was in total turmoil as I processed where in the world did this Auburn Collegiate Barbie come from, and then it hit me. It hit me like a ton of bricks when I noticed that the other Barbie was none other than the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Olympic Gymnast Barbie! (Lots of gasping here) I know, I know, I was shocked they were in mint condition in the box! Now I don’t think they were worth that much. (please don’t tell me if they were, I don’t know if I can take it) But they were in mint condition had never been handled by human hands except the ones that put them in the box. That is of course if a human put them in a box and not a robot.
Do you want to know why? Why he climbs up into the top of my closest and took down three of my Barbie’s. Three of my Barbie’s that I had been saving hoping that one day they might be worth something, or that my grandchildren might ponder over them and say look at Maw Maws Barbie’s, “maybe we can get some cash for these and go to Vegas” (Lord please don’t let my Grandbabies be gamblers).

This is the reason he gave me.
Valarie: What on earth do you think your doing, why did you get something that was not yours with out asking???? Huh, Huh?????
Lil Logan: But Mama I kept asking you for Diva’s for my wrestling ring. I need some Diva’s to wrestle.

Can you believe that he wanted Diva’s. So he used my Barbie’s. What is the world coming to.

BREAKING NEWS

We have an update on the Barbie story from this weekend. It seems that there has been yet another attack on Splash N Color Barbie. If you will remember she was involved in a vicious attack of vandalism this weekend along with Auburn Collegiate Barbie and the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics Barbie.

This time though the attack was far worse. This time there was bodily harm involved. I am sad to report that Splash N Color Barbie was involved in dog attack.

This my friends is the one who committed such an awful act. Don't let the cute face fool you he is vicious.

Bless her heart she has been through so much. :(

She looks like she is handling it well, always a smile on her face........ such a trooper.

OMG. So funny. I love it and can totally identify with the boy vs. barbie thing. Now the dog vs. barbie? Oh no.

Thanks so much for linking today and I really appreciate you spreading the word. So sweet!

If there ever was a diva, it's Barbie for sure!

TO funny!!!

The one I left on June Cleaver Nirvana was one about a nose ring. (click the link on your friends blog or search nose ring on my blog) But Geez....that is hard. I cannot honestly say that this would've been "the one" of mine that I chose, but it is because it was the first one that I thoguht of. Another funny from my blog would be the condom story. Search for it on my blog. It still cracks me up to this day!

I had no clue what a blog was in February so this was a funny new story for me. By the way, I left a magazine with Lorie today for you. I saw some "crafty" things that you may want to try?? If not, enjoy the magazine.

This is great. I kept several of my Barbies too to give to my daughter. Alas, none were in mint condition. Great story. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

That's so funny! Why does Barbie always end up with her arms broke or ripped off?! Oh, sometimes she loses her head..lol

All I wanna do now is say "Wayne's World, Wayne's World"... hahahaha in their funny voices!
That is just to funny! Poor Barbie, I guess they shouldn't look so hot and kids/dogs would not want to use them as diva's!

You are so funny! And how could you be mad at the vicious one, just look at that face!

LOL! I love this! I also have a boy who loves wrestling. Fortunately, his sister's barbies have long since been put away and he has NO clue that we have NRFB barbies living in our house. It can be dangerous times, for sure.
