I tell you I was in deep thought here. I can't even begin to tell you what I was thinking, because I have no clue.
If I had to guess anything, it would be that I was thinking about the fact that I am 16 and pregnant. Yep that would be something to worry about alright.
Something else I SHOULD have been worried about was my choice of fashions. Now that is a problem. Lets look at this shall we......
(Have ya'll noticed I like to use the phrase "shall we"? I need to work on that.)
Sorry if you can't read the words on the picture. No matter how hard I tried I could not get the words from not completely blending in with that wonderfully patterned couch at my Mother-In-Laws house. No offense Trudy, but I like your new couch much much better. :)

What did your post say, I couldn't read it because of that couch!
Kidding. Girl, my Sebago shoes were my 2nd favorite shoe....because first would have been all my pairs of Tretorns!!!
Was there really a carousel on your shirt? Please, tell me no.
What? No mention of the white Christmas tree??
We all had horrible sweatshirts. I had one that had a polar bear on it - I thought it was cool. Laws a mercy.
Oh my!!! Thank you for that walk down memory lane and for the laugh this morning!
LOL~like above you do not mention the horrible (white) christmas tree. LOL jk!
Cute post!
I resent that comment about the shoes, they were my favorite shoes. I still remember the Christmas I got them because I picked them out and couldn't wait to open them!!!
yes you had much on your mind...and who wouldn't.
Still I bet your one who lives;laughs; and loves allot cause you just know it could be worse!
Hmmm... I think one of my sisters-in-law had that exact same outfit! I know she had the shoes.
You are so funny! I think my grandma had that same couch until well....like 2 years ago.
I think you were cute even 16 and preggers and in your carousel sweatshirt. One question. Were those stirrup pants?
I think we all had clothes like that... now I may be sick, hehe. We dress our kids soooo much better these days!
You know what I am thinking? I am thinking that you went through a tough time and did it FABULOUSLY! I am thinking that you are a wonderful mother and have some GORGEOUS kids! I am thinking that I am SO glad that you are my blog bud!
Great picture Chica. Oh and the couch? Hmm. But it looks GREAT when you are sitting on it.
Jen
Can you believe I too had a dozen pairs of those shoes!! And sweatshirts too!!
Aw, 16 and pregnant, that must have been so tough at the time.
Considering the odds given for 16 year old pregnant girls, I think that you have surpassed them by miles and truly blown them out of the water.
I'm so glad that your m-i-l got a new couch. YIKES.
Yep I dressed like that also. Oh but the joys of what we have to pay for our childrens clothes today...Lot more than our parents paid. I can remember my Levis were $8.50 and now they are $$$$$$$$.....sometimes I wish I had those years back.
I remember those horrible painted sweatshirts, or even better when they were appliqued and had the metallic puff paint around the edge. The pants were probably nice and comfy for a pregnant lady. I have a friend that lived in those in highschool because she didn't want to tell her parents that she was pregnant and married. She eventually did though, and like you turned out great!
The slouch socks... oh, the slouch socks. I believe this was one sin we all committed, no matter our geography or sense of style.
Yes, that couch was definitely distracting. Thank you so much for sharing though . . .
Let's talk about that couch...
Shall we?
It doesn't matter what you were wearing...anything looks better than that couch fabric!!
Slouch socks! I had forgotten about slouch socks. Your clothes look pretty good compared to the couch, especially with so much on your mind!
I had that same horse sweatshirt, in yellow!
That couch was pretty bad, I agree.
You are deep in thought. I didn't know you were pregnant at 16. That must have been really hard. I was 19, and that was hard, so I can't imagine 16.
holy couch... i don't think i saw anything else except that couch in the pictures...
if she still has it you should submit it to regis and kelly. i think they do couch contest every year. winner gets a new couch!
At first I thought they were Stirrup pants!!
slouch socks leggings.. yep you had it going on! The couch does ring pretty LOUDLY!
Bwahahahaha! I did the slouchy socks & knit pants too. Crazy kids we were back then!
Ha ha ha I love it! I'm going to have to dig out some old photos for my blogs too :-)
Have a great day!
i hate that i was such a youngin in the 80's.. this picture is great! thanks for sharing
Hey check out my blog I left you something!
I dig yer couch and maybe the deck shoes too if they were in a lighter shade...perhaps a light & dark tan color.
I have a picture that is almost identical! I was 16 and pregnant too! Only I was much chubbier and my head was shaved half-way up. Hey, it was cool back then! I think my dad's couch was similar. It had a nice green pattern! lol
Where is the Scaremare and how can I get there?
