So I had a friend tell me to be careful of the fireworks and stray bullets on the fourth. She asked do y'all do that, shoot your guns up in the air. Well we don't shoot them up into the air, but we did shoot some guns.

We went over to a friends house and another one of her friends was there, and had brought his guns with him. So the men folk went out and did some target practice.

Well once the men got through with all their skeet shooting and stuff, it was our turn! Yep now it was time for us girls to try and show them how it was done.

Here we are shooting a pistol:

Here we are shooting a 9 mm:

Don't mess with me!!!

I hit three of my targets right of the bat. I don't think I have shoot a gun since I was like 16. Let me tell you it was fun!!

Ok now we shot a double barrel shot gun:

Then we shot a Thompson something or other:

Hey Jennifer look, I have other friends who are Alabama fans also. Bless their hearts, they don't know any better. :)

WAR EAGLE!!!!!!!!!

Stay tuned for July 4th Part 2: Young Pyromaniacs !!!

Can you come get that wabbit that ate my peas and green beans? My husband has to travel with work occasionally and I told him that I wanted to practice with his guns again. I don't remember how to load them so I would have to put on a really big act if someone came to get me. I have heard that girls have better instinctive aim with a gun. Guys are better with practice, but girls are better at knowing nothing and just shooting it. Go girl! Go girl! and ROOOOOL Tide!

Yikes girlfriend.....how scary are the guns. We have one, but it's put away. The robbers would just take it away from me and use it on me.

And um, Roll Tide! :-)

I alway thought that you tucked the shotgun into your shoulder and leaned into it.I oncw almost took someones foot off at the firerangs. the 45 that I was useing had the safty on and yet it still fired.I had the gun pointing down as we were instructedI was bumped from behind and the gun discharged almost hitting the guy to the left of me in his foot.
Man was I getting my A** chewed off when they relizied that the gun was defective and They got the darn thing to fire with the safety on.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Hugs and Blessings

Have you noticed how amazingly handsome a man looks in a Crimson (Alabama) shirt as opposed to those sallowing orange (Auburn) shirts? I mean LOOK at this guy! Who would wear Orange when they could look like THIS in Crimson?

Hey! And I can shoot too! Hubby taught me before he would marry me (?) and I can do it.

You know, they never made a song called "Baby's got WIDTH." Dang. I have backside envy over here.

Dang, you are just the coolest gal ever!!! I can be halfways handy with the .22 (like, to the tune of 2 skunks, a fox, a raccoon, and countless magpies), but because of all the crazy gun laws up here in Canuckland, I've never had the opportunity to use much else. Well, hubby's got a shotgun, but that thing sounds like a cannon and we don't have any of those ear protector-muffler thingies!

You go, girl!!
