Well its back in all its glory, and I am here, ready to embarrass myself and throw anyone else under the bus with me if they get to close. :)

Ya Know I just really don't know what to say or do. So I think I will just hold my head in my hands and say "Oh My Gosh, I can not believe I looked like that!"
I had a MULLET!!!! And, And really bad glasses!!!!!!! And look at the V-neck sweater and the button up oxford shirt!!!!! What may I ask was up with that!!!!!!
Then come spring time apparently by the look of the back drop, I opted for my lovely Laura Ingles wanna be dress. WITH SOCKS!!!!!!!!!!
THEN!!! THEN!!!!..............
(Amanda, Robin, and yours truly poodle girl)
Apparently I stuck my finger in a light socket and dyed that yellow sweater green! Cause here I am AGAIN in a V-Neck sweater and a button up oxford shirt! I shudder to even think of the shoes I probably wore with any of those outfits.
I think I am gonna need therapy after this Fro' Me To You. ~sigh~
Ya know what I think???
I think God gives us those awkward stages to prepare us for the future. Cause NOBODY, I don't care how you think you look now wants to go back to looking like that!
For more events that were captured on film, and forever more shaped our lives, join us over at Kristen's. It just might be therapeutic.

Ya know Val, everybody had a mullet back then. What in the world were we thinking???????? Blessings
I had the mullet and oxford shirts too Val. It'll be okay! You look gorgeous now. Thank God for contact lenses right?! And flat irons! And better clothing!
Fun post.
Oh, honey. You should probably ask your Momma for an apology.
Seriously bad. In such a good 'fro way!
Who wouldn't love that little face in the first picture? I mean it, who could resist such adorableness?
You.
Were.
Precious.
And you still are!
The poodle head girl... full blown awkward stage that.
AHAHAHAHA!!!! I'm sorry, but I had to burst out laughing!
These are awesome 'Fro pics...seriously...

Those were some priceless pics... the hair, the glasses, the oxfords... LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!
So precious, so cute....really:)
Hey Valerie,, So excited that you are following out blog also. Look forward to reading more and learning at the same time.
Glad you enjoyed our blog. I believe is heavy doses of humor. I mean laughter is the best medicine right. Life is too short in this world to stress out, worry, get upset, about the small stuff. Lets just laugh at everything!!! Its alot more fun anyway.
Have a great day!!!!
Oh also i will put a link to your blog on ours. Might bet you some more exposure. But mainly will help me follow you easier. Feel free to link to us or add our button if you want.
OMG That is funny! Don't worry, I was that bad. Serious. I had RED rimmed glasses.
And this is why I just don't - DO NOT - post school photos of myself. But your words are wise... not many of us actually want to relive our youth, simply because we couldn't bear to look in the mirror (or the closet).
Oh dear! Aren't we so glad that we don't have to go back there? You are a brave woman and I love that about you!
Bless Your Heart!
~Amanda
You are so brave darling!! (and no I will not post my pictures that look exactly like that - and don't you go through the family photo frames and dig them out either!)
But look at you now - BEAUTIFUL!!!!
So cute...I love the pictures...it's fun to look back..well, at you! I am not so brave!
-sandy toe
HEE HEE...What WERE we thinking? What scares me is that I will look back on my pictures from today in like 20 years and say the same thing!
I just think of the "ugly ducklin turned SWAN"..and I agree we need to go through these stages to appreciate what we are later..cute post!
TOO FUNNY!
My hair was horrible I looked like Annie...umm yeah!
Love the mullet :0...LOL
Oh my goodness. I am at a loss for words. lol But your commentary made me LAUGH!!!!! Funny lady.
OMG! Bless your heart....the Laura Ingells dress is ruffly awesome. Wooo-weeee.
Well, don't blaim me. I had a bad habit of letting my girls pick out their own clothes. And now I can see it was a bad, bad thing to do. But I love ya'll just the same. I thought you were darling. And if Lisa is reading this, I will remind her of the time she had to have a white blouse for a school event. And she would not, and I mean not, shop for clothing at Walmart. I took her to the National Store and she found a really cute blouse. (see, I am letting her call the shots) Anyway, afterwards we went to Walmart and, lo and behold, they had the identical blouse with anouther brand name on the tag. And after that, I still asked my girls, "Now, which one do you want?"
That first picture is absolutely adorable!
you looked cute! come on, we all had questionable fashion and hair choices. but you actually looked pretty cute!
Thanks for throwing us under the bus with ya! Look at how much my pants were rolled up. lol and bless my heart that is one of the better pics of me when I was little.
You either wore your penny loafers or Nikes with the V neck sweater. Was it a Forenza and did you ever wear it backwards with the vee in the back? The first two you were cute! The last was not your shining moment- but go look in the mirror now, baby!
Ummmm. Thanks Mama!
Valarie, Its not what you look like on the outside, its what you look like on the inside. How many times am I gonna have to remind you of that? :)
Lisa
Oh those are good! LOL
I never had the mullet, but those glasses, yep I had em too!
Love to see these pictures of you! They remind me of myself in that SO akward stage!
Well, I have a pic of me with a mullet, button down oxford shirt, and big glasses too. But the bad part? I was an adult wearing those things! What was I thinking?
I'll have to share that soon.
Fun post! Bless your adorable little heart! ♥ Thanks for sharing!
Oh gosh I remember those days also...I might have to get some old ones out and share too...boy I was dorky looking!
Thanks for the advice on Lexi's bathroom. What type of pic would you use...got an idea for that? I really don't want to paint the wall cause the frogs want last long I know...I don't think I can handle those critters to long.
You know no one was commented on my page for a few days and then wow...your not the only one that said they could not...I was wondering had I lost interest in everyone...lol
awesome! or should i say rad?
LOL..I need a good laugh.. I am glad that I am not the only one with those stylin' frames!
And this is what the 'Fro is alllllll about! Thank you for helping me realize I'm not alone in the huge glasses & awkward hair! And for the giggle. ;)
hahaha wow.glad i didnt get my style from you..!!
Oh but Syd, you DID get your style from me. My style is just definitely more evolved than it was. :)
I had that same hair cut. I need to dig through my old pictures. Or maybe not. :)
I LOVE the poodle hair - it takes me back. And you are so right, there is a reason we look that way when we are young ... never again.
OMGOOOOSh I couldnt love you more than I do right now.....You were so darn cute!! I guess I should dig up old pics too now... we were so po that I seriously had the same brown shirt in my 3rd and 4th school pics... I know I have said this before, but we are destined to be friends, you rock!!
