You go PoGo

Did you have a Pogo stick when you were younger???  We did, but I was not very good at it.  My specialty was walking on coffee cans with strings that my Daddy made me.  Now when I got older like 12 or something I did have a pogo ball.  Now that I could handle.  I think the pogo stick  was one of Lisa favorites though.  I wonder if it was the cause of any of her broken arms????

Guess what my Daddy got some of the grandkids for Christmas????

--------------

I told them "Don't go pogo right now, its raining and if you hit a slick spot it will fly out from under you!"

Did they listen?? Noooooo!!  Did they almost fall??? Yessss!!

Robin did take some good shots of them with my camera though.  Lets take a look.

POGO4 Branden

L. L. got one also, but he had to leave for a basketball game and did not get to play with his here.  When I got home, he started using the pogo stick, but not like you would think, he started using it as a machine gun.  Yep sounds like him.  Well at least he can't break his arm again that way.  :)

Did you have a pogo stick?  How many jumps were you able to get to before falling off?  I think I might have been able to get to three.  Yeah I know pitiful, I am telling you I was much better on the coffee can stilt things.

Yes it was red and silver and I could only get about three butttt that's only because we had a gravel driveway..I bet a nice slab wouldn've worked wonders..My kids would likely get bored and turn there pogo stick into a gun as well and because they like the more dangerous kinds of toys..like guns;trampolines;dirt bikes.

them country kids..gotta love'em.

My husband and I were just talking about Pogo sticks the other day! How funny! I was HORRIBLE at it. I could jump twice before crashing to the ground. I can't hula hoop either! lol

I would just like to say that one of my children (Wes) has even gone as far as to take on double pogo (2 pogo sticks at once)and he is pretty good at it. In the pic of Branden he is wearing jeans that are 5x too big cause he got his muddy and they are being held up by a piece of string Papa gave him. Such talented children!!

Definitely got one as a Christmas present when I was little. I think that it only got used that day with a total of maybe 3 consecutive jumps then I rode my bike somewhere. We're very much a family of pragmatists, sadly...

Oh Yes. I had the PoGo stick. And yes, I can still Pogo today. I can pogo circles around most middle aged women.

But the um... bounce... can be sort of disgusting to see.

And stilts? Yep. Regular one woman circus act over here.

Oh, my! I haven't since I was a kid. I would probably break my ankle today if I tried...

I know why you couldn't do it( I am jumping up and down to tell you) it is because you were such a tiny thing you didn't have enough weight to make the spring go down. Nothing about uncoordination at all, it is the tiny factor I tell you!

I never had a pogo stick because I was so clumsy! My parents didn't trust me to keep my head intact...

Never had a pogo stick. Isn't it funny how things we played with as kids seem so dangerous once we're adults! What was our parents thinking!

How fun is that. I have never had one, but I think I wanted one when I was younger.

That is SO funny! BOTH my big kids got one from their grandparents. They break their old record everyday! Great exercise!

I don't think I've ever pogo'd. Looks like fun but I'm sure it requires a lot of coordination (which I lack).

Yes I had the commercial coffee cans stilt things, called romper stompers. I was on the local Bozo show when I was five and received them as a gift. I remember they were green and yellow. Don't remember having a pogo stick.

Had one when I was little...wayyyyyyyyyback in the day...if I was even to think about getting on one I would be in the hospital and my daughter would be laughing at me...she is a nurse on surgery floor...you get my drift! lol...but the kids look like they are having lots of fun!

I never had one, but my brother did...a pogo stick, stilts, a unicycle...we thought he was going to run away to the circus!

In reply to your comment: It's an embroidery machine only...I have a sewing machine and also didn't want to have to wait until the embroidery was done to sew. And the more it does, the more can tear up! But that's just me! I love it! It's my new best toy! Santa was good, but slow to bring it! (Got it locally! Let me know if you want more details!)

We did not have one at our house; however, the neighbors did and it was one of my favorite things. I was actually pretty good at the darn thing. Which probably does not hold true now. But I'd give it a shot.

We had one and one day I was showing off my mad pogo skills in the carport when I hit a little spot of oil that had leaked from a car. I went down hard and had to go to the hospital. The next day was my dance and gymanstics yearly recital and the doctor said I could not do flips, I messed up all the routines. But, I do remember that year one of our routines we dressed up like clowns and my black eye I revceived from my pogo stick expedition fit right with the outfit.

We are NOT getting one for the Buckaroos, too many bad flashbacks, haha.

I loved my pogo stick. As to how many jumps I could accomplish before falling off... I refuse to answer on the grounds that it might then label me a Total Klutz.

Yes, I did have a pogo stick, as a matter of fact. One day, I set out to break the Guinness record but stopped at 1,231 (or something like that.) Good, clean fun, that pogo stick! :)

I would have killed my fat butt on that thing... No pogo sticks for me in my lifetime, oh darn!
