Can you say ewwwww!!!!!

Picture it......

Morning, everyone is still groggy and grumpy.  Little Logan is being difficult and still just wants to lay down for two more minutes.  Being the good mother I am I ask him if he wants his cinnamon life in a ziplock bag to go.   Many screams of no I don't want that, I want a pop-tart.  So off into the kitchen I go to send him off to school with his delicious and nutritious Pop-Tart. (Attention Big Wigs at Pop-Tarts, I will take Pop-Tarts if you want to send them my way seeing as my children live off of them.)

That's when it happened I stopped dead in my tracks and screamed a silent scream.........

I backed up slowly and ran to get my Father-in-Law, who thank you Lord, takes Logan to school in the morning.  He comes into the kitchen to find one of these.....

Upside down, with one of these

Walking from my pantry with the glue thing on his back!  Thank goodness it slowed him down. (shudder)

Now I know that I am probably gonna get all sorts of comments about a glue trap being inhumane, but these little critters contain all sorts of germs and diseases.  I think its probably pretty inhumane to let them run all over my pantry and walk on my food!  So my father-in-law took him outside.  I don't know what happened to the little beady eyed thing after he left my house, but thank goodness he is out of my house.  Now I need to go home and clean all the tops of my canned food and check out any bag of food that was not in its proper Rubbermaid container.

Also I might need to get me another tomcat to go outside.  That would pretty humane don't you think?

Once we cought the mama mouse and then 2 baby mice on glue traps. Then the big ole daddy mouse got stuck, somehow got it onto his back and was running around the kitchen with Walt chasing him slapping at the mouse with a broom!

I now just use the snap traps, instant death!

OH. MY.

It's bad enough when they are stuck to the trap and wiggling but walking around with it like a backpack? OK, the imagery there is cracking me up...

"Hey Mickey, what's that thing on your back?" "MICKEY MICKEY 4 X 4! CAN'T GET THROUGH THE PANTRY DOOR!" "It's OK Mickey, we all have burdens to bear.." "I'm taking this thing and entering the mouse olympics - the luge competition"

I think I could go on for days but I am giggling enough as it is.

We have had a little visitor on two different ocasions and they are hard as all get out to catch. The spring traps dont work, tried that. Ive watched these guys run right along the wall in the wide open when i was sitting there. m Eww is right. Both time I had to catch them with my bare hands after trapping them in rooms and setting out traps only to have them not fall for it. I will try these glue things next time. Hopefully there wont be one.

Hi! Just wandering around blogs, and found you-funny post!!
We had to do that at our cottage last summer-and all we caught was our own kids...talk about ruining new jeans! That glue does not come off!!!
(Who care if it is inhumane-let them come over and catch them for ya!)

Well you've made me scream this morning!! I hate rats/mice-I'd rather have snakes crawling through the house than mice. Ewwww is right!!

Ewww. Shreek! I must say though, myhats off to the little fella for seemingly coping with the situation, making the best of it. Got in to trouble, packed up and was moving on. Smart mouse. I never knew of one to have it on his back. Wow.

I think I hear taps playing in a mouse hole somewhere

YUK. We had a little beady-eyed thing last year.
Set a trap and he was gone by morning. Still don't know how it got in, but we haven't had another one, thank goodness.

EWWWWW is RIGHT!!

oh, and you're not going to hear any inhumane comments from ME - my hubby has his own Pest Control business - those little beady eyed things keep us in business! LOL

We used to have a pet rat. He was mean. Over the course of two days, he bit my son three times. The last time he would not let go, so I had my husband pry his teeth off of my son's finger and take the rat outside and kill him.

My son is more important than any animal in this world.

But I sure am glad you got that mouse out and it must have been a sight to see him running around with that glue trap stuck to his back :)

Gross! I'm always at a loss of how to deal with those little guys. Thankfully, our neighbor has a lot of cats. :)

EWWWWW!! The only time we've had mice in the house, John was in sales, and of course, he was on the road. I had to manage to get the little beady-eyed bugger out of the house by myself.

We have those too! They are in the attic and garage. My husband put out traps and got a bunch of them but of course the traps went off when he wasn't home and I could hear one of them screaming on the other side of my office door to the attic. I FREAKED! Eeewwww! To see one with a glue trap would have been even more freakier. ha!!
