What children might learn riding the bus......

So some of you just can't even imagine me being trouble.  Well I am sure my family would tell you different.

Another one of my thug moments, was again at Big K (I think, I don't know it could have been Wally World by then).  Anyway my Mama, Daddy, Robin and myself are leaving and some truck, I don't even know what kind, maybe a cement truck or a dump truck drives by.  I proceed to shout "What the H - E double hockey sticks is that!", but I did not say H - E double hockey sticks, I said THE word.   I am sure I learned this on the bus.

I learned something else on the bus.

One day after getting off the bus, Mama thinks it is was probably 1st or 2nd grade, I was outside, and she said I kept pointing up at the sky.  Picture this.......

Little 6 or 7 year old girl in the front yard pointing at the sky and trees, making noises like a gun.  Mother comes out and asks the little precious girl with the

Donnie Osmond haircut.....

Mother: Honey what are you doing?

Precious girl with Donnie Osmond Haircut:  Shooting Birds - bang, bang (of course the little girl was not saying bang bang, she was making actually gun noises, but I don't know how to spell a gun noise)

Mother:  Where did you learn that!!!

Precious girl with Donnie Osmond Haircut:   The boys on the bus, they do it all the time.... bang, bang

Yes, I was "Shooting Birds", and I was not pointing with my pointer finger, I was using tall man.

I really don't remember being bad after these episodes, I believe I was a perfect child after that.  ;)

I remember one time we were on our way home from somewhere that seemed kinda far off (probably HSV, lol and it seemed far cause I was little) anyway I was in the backseat just a singing my heart out and I slipped out a lil curse word and mama and daddy turning around and just looking at me then they laughed and said not to say that word or sing that song anymore.

I think all 3 of you were naughty little girls at one time. (Probably a LOT of times). Don't act so innocent Lisa. You, too, have tales to tell. And Robin, tell everyone about the payphone outside of Walmart.

Now, VAL, back to you. You are too young to remember, but when you were about 2 yrs, you disappeared and became very, very quiet. I called from the den -

ME: Valarie, where are you?

YOU (in a sweet little baby voice) In da bafwuum.

ME: What are you doing?

YOU: Keening da mode.

ME: WHAT? What with?

YOU: Wif DaDa's tuufbrush.

I don't think he ever got from the den to the bathroom so fast.

AH, THE MEMORIES OF 3 SWEET LITTLE GIRLS. I LOVE YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH.

LOL! Thats great. I didn't ride the bus, but I came up with a few crazy things on my own. One day I decided to stand at the edge of my driveway and the road, and every time a car went by I lifted my little skirt and flashed my panties. I think my brother was amused, so thats why I did it? I don't know. I do know that one lady pulled over and marched me up to my door and told my mom...I felt horrible! =)
Thanks for sharing, lol.

I love that my kids can ride to school with me, instead of taking the bus, and I feel sorry for so many kids for whom riding the bus is pure torture every day. I know it's a great place to learn about life, but some of those things are better off NOT learned, right? :)

Okay,I just have to tell you this! Josh had to ride the bus when we lived on post at Ft McCellen, they made everyone ride the bus to school. My mother got so upset with me because he rode the bus and was learning things he shouldn't know in the 1st grade. I said like "what"? She said he is walking around all the time saying' "just do it".... lol I said mom get your mind out of the gutter that's the Nike commercial!lol

Well, here I am again. Sorry, Robin, I hadn't noticed you had already told about the payphone incident. You were very upset when you found me, so when I was thru shopping, I went to the Police Dept. and told them a thing or two. Then when we got home, your Daddy called the Chief of Police and told him a thing or two. And when you answered the phone, they threatened you with a lot of things, including coming to get you and taking you to jail.

LOL! I remember learning a lot on the bus too....like what waving the tall man means. Except it was NOT the right thing. It was much nicer than what I learned later.
