Fro Me to You - Speaking of Dances

frolink1

Oh the horror of these next pictures!!  The hair, the dress, the shoes...its a never ending nightmare.  And now I am posting my nightmare on the Internet.  I hope this makes for a very therapeutic post for me.  I also hope this makes your day.  :)

The year 1991,  Logan's Senior prom.  I borrowed this dress from his sister (it was a brides maid dress), well because I did not have a lot of money.  We were trying to raise a kid at this point.  Plus I had apparently lost my mind.

Would you look at the height I achieved on my bangs!

Those sleeves!  Could they be any puffier?

Look at Logan! I did not remember this until I really, really looked at this picture, but he's wearing tails!  I can not believe he wore a tuxedo with tails!

I swear my hair is as wide as that dress!

For more fun go over to Kristen's at We are THAT Family.  You will not be disappointed!

I'm not able to comment on the hair/dress because I'm thinking "WHAT is up with all that print in the house and what were our folks thinging back then ...TGforHGTV!

LOL!

BTW~ You so fit the part of the 80's I would crown you plus the fact you had your waist back after having a baby!

An advantage of having them young!

We call those "anti-gravity bangs" and you wore them well!

I had the same dress in a light blue! I don't know how to scan photos and have to learn because these are so funny. I had the same hairstyle. We all thought we were so cute didn't we. Poor puffy girls we were.

I wore a really similar dress in forrest green and I'm sad to admit that I had the mile high bangs, too! So funny! I love the pictures and can't believe how much you and Jessie look alike!

Loooove the wrist corsage! I demanded one of those from each one of my prom dates. Weren't no way I was going to put a pin-hole in my prom dress. LOL!

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing!

I think you look so pretty... despite the cruel 80's style!

Hmmm... prom in 1991? Making me feel old!

I had some bad hair days myself, one day I will find some of those horrible pics!

Wow. You RAWK the puffy matching taffeta look. Seriously. I just love those pictures.

On a positive note, your age, hugely puffy sleeves and big eighties hair ensured that your waist looked absolutely teeny tiny.

Love your style! And you KNOW we thought we looked so good then. And we did. But that was then, right?

Funny that you posted this, because I did a flashback on my post the other day...check it out! :)

Blessings!

Gorgeous! Does he still have the mullet? Please cut the mullet off of that child- It is NOT cute- It is okay if the daddy wants to be caught in the 80's, but not the child!

I think you look great! Although I still want to know why those big puffy sleeves ever became popular!

Hubby was class of 90, so he has plenty of photos like that. (none with me though, as I am a bit younger than him)

You might want to check out my post on yearbook photos...maybe you will find that hairdo in there somewhere :) I think that I wore a purple dress with puffy sleeves like that to somethin'-er-uther! :)

Jenn beat me to the Napoleon Dynamite line!
The giant sleeves make the waist appear smaller, even though yours was already tiny apparently. The hair is amazing. Queen of 91, yep.

Girl You two Rocked the 80's My Hubby wore a white tux and tails to my senior prom and I had bangs close to the same height I would have loved to know your secret back then (aqua net?).

OMGOsh, my bangs were just like that! I went through a zillion cans of RAVE hairspray to achieve that look.

I love how perfectly his tie and cummerbund match. :)
