She's Crafty with Chalk Board Paint

Awhile back I saw this super cute idea over at Kara & Kijsa's place.

chalkboard tray

Now like I said last post.  I do not have a creative crafty gene in my body.  So I have to borrow my creativity.

Since I saw their post on this, I  have been on the hunt for a silver tray of some sort.  Well it just so happens that Krissy over at Well Behaved Women Seldom Make History (or WBWSMH as she will further be known because that name is to long to write) had a yard sale the other day, trying to reduce her debt.  So I thought I would go by and see if I could help the cause.   As I am looking around I came across this.

TRAMPOLINE&CRAFTS030

It just called my name.  It said "Valarie, I am the one, make me into a chalkboard".  So not wanting to disappoint the poor thing, that is what I did.

See now doesn't he look much happier.  :)

This was really really easy to do, and will go great with that easel as soon as I paint it black.  I will put it out at Christmas and write cute little things on it like "Merry Christmas", Ho Ho Ho, and Jingle Bells.  So go out and find you a silver something and get some chalkboard paint and make this!  You can do it people.  If you do this, I want to see the finished product, I like looking at ya'll's stuff.  :)

A person who has their very own craft room, has to be crafty!

VERY VERY VERY COOL IDEA!!!

And the smiley just makes it better.

And as for what to write on it at Christmas? How bout "Sorry Santa, Mom has been crafting and she used your plate so.... no cookies for you!"

Maybe too long to write on the tray?

OH.My.GOSH! You're a genius woman! I just bought chalkboard spray paint to do a door that I'll hang in my kitchen (it was super duper easy btw) but I never thought about a silver tray. Can I tell you how much I love you for that?? I've got oodles of them! xo
