Ok, sorry, I sounded like Gomer Pyle there for a minute. :)
Last Monday when I got back from the beach I had an e.mail. Well ok I had like 400 e.mails. Most of them spam and undeliverable's. (I think I am sending spam :( if you have gotten one from me I am sorry, I am working on it)
Where was I? Oh yeah e.mail. I got this e.mail from a sweet girl asking if I would come to her Mom's surprise birthday party. Being one who doesn't want to miss a party, I said sure!!!
Now this was not just an ordinary party for me, nor was it just any Mom. This was one of my blog friends, that I had been wanting to meet! I had been invited to the surprise party for my friend Southern Seven. I was so excited!!
I sort of felt like I was going on a blind date. I knew who she was, I read her blog, I commented her, but I had never actually met her. She is such a savvy shopper, I think she could find a good deal with her eyes closed! She is also one mean yard sale shopper. I have told her before, but she is going to have to take me to these yard sales she finds. I think its a gift she has, because I never can find that good of stuff. She's also pretty crafty. She made an awesome headboard for her daughter out of a coffee table. It is the neatest thing. I am now on the look out for a coffee table to convert. :)
Before I left I told Logan, "If I don't come back, you know they were serial killers or something" :) I was just kidding. ;)
When I got there, I felt right at home! She has a such a wonderful family and wonderful friends! I was very honored to be there. :)
Bless her heart, I know she had to be tired. She had just gotten back from a anniversary cruise to Mexico. After standing for about two hours in the customs line (aren't you glad you did not by that pottery you wanted!) and traveling all day, she was a super host! I hope you got some rest Sunday.
So here is a picture of myself and cutie poo Southern Seven!
I am so glad I got to meet you and I know we will get together again. I hope you have a wonderful day on the 11th!

I'm impressed, after traveling all day from Mexico and then looking cute at a party, she sounds great! You both looks so cute, I love your tops.

That is so neat! You two are adorable!
Hopefully we will have the same kind of picture up before the year is over. We will be driving through Alabama to get to Georgia this November. Go ahead and clear your calendar :-).
Fun times with your blog friend! It's so cool that you two were able to meet and celebrate together.
Man that's just sweet!
Do not forget to note the time of this comment- 2:33 AM!!! Why am I up? School starts tomorrow!
I am so glad you took the chance that we would not kill you if you came. It was really good to meet you and hope we can get together again, sometime soon. We really need to meet up with Jen, also. Next time hubbie goes out of town I will have to see if you can do some garage saling. We could meet in the middle and try out some in Hampton Cove and see what those rich folks decide to throw out.
Great picture, and what a fun day!!
Had to come "meet" you after seeing her post...so great that you were adventurous and made that a special night for her.:)
I already told Southern that I was envious that she got to meet you in person. Will you all come to Texas for my birthday in January? You could bring her and Jen. Krissy can come, too. And, Kristen. And, the "other Dawn."
Oh, boy... I feel the party planner in me kicking into gear.
Sigh. It would be fun!
I am making plans to meet my first bloggy friend. Im glad it went so well for you
That is so neat! I can't wait to meet my fellow bloggers. I've threatened to start a "Coming to Your House" tour and take off like Oprah and Gail to meet my blogging buddies -- that and no one lives anywhere near me.
Wow.
Too cool!
Blessings!
Lacy
