Raindrops on Roses....

and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things.....

So I am late as usual.  Sarah at Thrifty Decor Chick had a Mr Linky party for us to show some of our favorite things.  You can still join the party if you want, or you can just go look at everyone else's favorite things.

My favorite Christmas decoration to put out are the homemade stockings my Mother made for each of my children.  I don't know what I am going to do when they try to grow up and leave and take them with them.  Ok, Ok, I wont let them take them.  They will always go up in my house.  They will have to get new ones.  Am I being selfish?  Nahhhhhh...  :)

I think someone is really into Twilight and its not me.  Ok well maybe I am too, but that is beside the point.

The New Moon is over and the Eclipse has started.

I love them....it would take me a minute to think of my favorite things. It would probably be a few of my ornaments.

My kids stockings are staying with me too! They are cute by the way!

No, you really shouldn't split the set up. They should ALL stay at your house when the kids move out.

Look at you posting and reading Eclipse! You multi tasker you!

Those stockings must be so special! I have one that my grandma made for me when I was born...it lives at my parents' house, and I think it will stay there forever!

What cute stockings! I wish I had mine from growing up...

I told my sis what you said about the New Moon book and she almost didn't buy it because she was afraid it'd be too sad. She did though, tonight, and is already to page 150. :) I'm going to be reading all of January!

Lol! "that's all" ok how is this going to work? I already have Edward on my Christmas list! I guess we could settle for some sort of custody agreement. Tell Sydney she is going to have to share with Mrs.007.

Those stockings are precious! And no, you're not being selfish ... just a sentimental mom. I would so do the same thing.

p.s. The Christmas "wish list" totally cracked me up. Self confessed twilighter here. i think I need a 12 step program to help me deal with the fact that there will be no more Twilight books. Pathetic...I know.

How special to have all those stockings made by your mom!! And that note - too cute! I hope you plan on keeping it *S*
My favorite things are the ornaments we've collected. Each has a special memory attached, especially the ones my kids' made.

My mom buys my girls a Lenox ornament every year (personalized with their name and the year). I will let them have those when they move out.

I have not yet read the Twilight books. I know there's no way Rocket Man will see that movie. I will have to wait until it comes out on DVD.

LOL! She'll have to fight my daughter for them. They are on the Christmas list over here too. Edward more so than Robert. Maybe that can be the compromise? ;)

Darling stockings!

She's not asking for much now, is she? Too cute. My parents have a set of stockings that have our names on them, but they are my parents. It's nice to see them there and decorated, even if we have our own places.

Leave your house- never- I would keep them all together and just add to them as their family starts and grows.
