????

Do you ever have those moments where you just really don't know what to say? Well I am having one right now. So you are going to get to live with my randomness for just a bit.

This post is all about nothing and all about everything. The nothing and the everything that is consuming my brain right now.

So here we go...

I have way to much to do at work. Stuff just keeps coming up. Its like a never ending sea of stuff. But I guess that is what work is. Anyway, I would like to be able to leave next week with out a bunch of loose ends lying around. Oh well, it will all work out it always does.

Getting ready for vacation. I am trying to get things prepared to leave. It always seems like everything just runs together at the last minute.

- Go get stuff for trip

- Take the car and get it checked out

- Get the car cleaned up

- Clean house before leaving (this rarely ever happens, but I hope I can do it this year)

- Get car packed and leave at decent time on Saturday (Probably ain't gonna happen)

- I have a craft project I NEED to finish for our trip! I started it specifically for this trip! Is it done? NO! Is it near done? NO! Can I get it done? Hopefully, and hopefully it wont be at midnight on Friday!

Kids!

Why didn't anyone warn me that when they turn 18 that it is worse than when they are smart mouthed 12 year olds!!!!

This is whole other post that I just really don't think I can take on right now.

So there you have it, just some randomness of my brain. Sorry that I made you suffer through this. :)

SHE'S CRAFTY!!!

Have you ever been to the beach and collected all those beautiful shells? You have me too!! When you get ready to leave, do you have a good place to put the shells? No? Me either!

That is until now. I saw this really cute idea on a blog somewhere, I don't even really remember where. It may have been over at the Tip Junkie. Anyway someone was making these container to hold you "treasures" that you find at the beach. They were making and selling these things. Now if I had not been just oozing with craftiness lately, I might have bought one. I thought to my self, "Self, you can make that thing!" So I did. Ok Well Syd made it, but I thought of the whole idea. Ok well whoever I got the idea from thought of it. I was just the facilitator of the idea. The middle man, middle management, the person who bought the stuff, but did not have time to actually do it.

So you will need you the following:

A clear container with a lid.

Something sort of like this just with out the beans. :)

Paint Pens

Not necessarily these, but you know what I mean.

I also used these

Foam_Sea_Life_Shapes

Then my assistant took the container and decorated it. Like this.....

Awww isn't that sweet!!! She wrote "I love you bubba" on the bottom. :)

So now when we go to the beach Logan can take this down there, with him to bring his treasures back safe and sound.

Next time on She's Crafty, I promise to show you what I was doing with those other magnets. If you don't know what I am talking about go here.

She's Crafty!!

Note: I like the title, but this post has nothing to do with the Beastie Boy's. If you are here looking for them you may want to leave now. Thank You, You may proceed now.

Ok well I am not THAT crafty, but I did do a craft that Kristen over at We are THAT Family did. I didn't even realize we were doing the same thing. That's how in tune me and Kristen are. We are tight, thick skinny as thieves, ya know great minds think a like. Hi Kristen (I'm Waving) its me Valarie over here in Alabama. Hi!!!!

Ok so let me get on with my craftiness. This ole blog thing has brought out my crafty side. My need to be creative. It has been buried somewhere deep down in my toes and now its waiting to get out. I am just oozing with crafty. (Bwahahahah!!, No not really) Seriously I am trying though.

So I got this idea from somewhere in the blogosphere to make marble magnets things. Turns out Kristen was doing the same. Again great minds. Here tutorial is here. If you leave and go read hers that's fine, just remember to come back and look at mine also. I know she is super cool and all but humor me please.

First you are gonna need some of these:

Then you will need to get you some of this:

DSC_0469

You will then take the scrapbook paper and cut it into little bitty circles that fit to the back of the marble. I started out drawing off the circle, but found out really quickly that I could cut it by eyeballing the sucker better than drawing it off. After you have cut the circles you will then glue them on with Elmer's glue onto the marble. My lovely assistant Syd will show you how.......

Glue

Syd loving the blue finger nail polish, oh wait and the pink. :)

Once I attach the paper I like to sort of move it around in a circle on the marble to get a good coat of glue on it.

So after you glue the piece of scrap paper onto the marble it will look a little foggy, once it dries, it will dry clear.

Foggy:

Clear:

After all the drying takes place (overnight would be good) then you can add the magnets.

DSC_0482

You could use a smaller magnet, but this is what I picked up and it worked out ok. You cant really see them when they are turned up right. Now I used Superglue to attach the magnets. You could probably use something else, I just chose Superglue.

By the Way On Sunday be sure to go over to Kristen's blog and read why you need to be careful with this stuff.

So there you have it simple, easy, keeps the kids busy magnets. Now you can also collect Altoid tins and decorate those and put six magnets in there and give them a cute little presents. These would make super cute teacher gifts.

Tune in next time on "She's Crafty" to see what I did with these nifty magnets. Also coming up on "She's Crafty" treasure jar's! :)

YOUNG PYROMANIACS

We start them out young here in the South.

DSC_0115

See the lighter, see the shell casing?  They were putting the firecrackers down in the shell casing and lighting them.  (Notice I am taking pictures and not stopping them)

DSC_0113

They were all into doing this.  They would light them and run.

The Young Pyro's, then all moved to the front yard.  They had better adult supervision out there.  (Yeah right!  The adults were almost as bad as the kids.)

Oh they may look like they are walking up to me innocently, but no they had those popping things in their hands.  They decided that it would be fun to pop me.  :)

Yeah she looks sweet, but don't let her fool you.

DSC_0291

This is where they got the bright idea to tie a bunch of fireworks together and light them at one time.  Not so smart.....

DSC_0299

Notice we have an adult lighting the fireworks....

DSC_0300

DSC_0301

I think Syd has the right idea.. You run away from the fireworks

DSC_0302

Oh great here we go again!!  This time the boys are gonna light them though.  Boys they really are into blowing things up.

DSC_0305

DSC_0122

Speaking of blowing things up... See the cutie on the right side of the picture with the blond hair.  The next day he thought it would be cool to put a firecracker down into a really ripe peach and blow it to smithereens.   Peaches went everywhere!

Boys!!!!  :)

FRO ME TO YOU - PUPPY LOVE

****Please note that it has taken me forever to get this post to load. I am exhausted from trying. So please feel sorry for me and leave me lots of comments.******

No this is not another post about me wanting to be Donnie Osmond when I was little.

You see my computer at home has decided to take a vacation, well the Internet has at least. So I am posting this from work, and since I have AADD, I forgot to bring my pictures to scan in. All this means I am flying by the seat of my pants to do my Fro Me To You. So after looking through my pictures here at work I decided to go a different route. Instead of posting pictures of me, I am gonna post pictures of my baby Cannon. :)

It was a little over two years ago that little Cannon came into our lives.

Picture 0421

Oh my goodness wasn't he just the cutest little fur ball!!!

Here he was at Easter.....

100_1883

Would you look at how much Syd has changed!!

:)

Now Cannon is not as sweet as he was. You see he has been raised with this person around.

DSC_0012

Do you see the mischief dancing in those eyes??? He thinks that Cannon is his personal wrestling buddy. So Cannon can get a little rowdy, he wants to be loved on, but only if HE wants to be loved on.

He definitely is not a fu fu dog. He likes to get out there with the cows and the donkeys. He likes to wander around in the pond.

DSC_0851

He also likes to sit on the steps of the pool.

DSC_0396

He is a mess, let me tell you.

DSC_0401

DSC_0556

I think I should have named him "Ewok" or "Gizmo" because that's what he looks like. You know I actually think they based those characters off of a Shih tzu.

Ok well that's my Fro ME To You, I know its not my best work. I know y'all wanted to see some more embarrassing photos of me. I promise you next week will be better. So for now go over to Kristen's at We are THAT Family and enjoy some of the other more original Fro Me to You's.
