LIFE IS LIKE A BOX OF CHOCOLATES

We now return you to our regularly scheduled blog:

In honor of Valentines day and Forrest Gump, we will be discussing love, life and chocolates.

You know life is really like a box of chocolates, you never know what you might get. I never imagined when I was a teenager, “looking for love in all the wrong places”, that almost nineteen years later, I would still be with Logan.

Or that my Jessie would be graduating this year. She has grown up into such a beautiful young lady.

Or that we would have this pretty little thing.

Or this handsome guy.

Those are some examples of the creamy caramel center goodness of life.

Life also brings with it things like, your parents getting a divorce, or your Mama having to deal with breast cancer twice.

The struggles to raise teenagers in this day and age of “whatever makes you feel good”.

Those would be what I call the nasty fruit centered chocolates. (sorry to those who like those things. Please just interject the your candy of choice in place of those) They look like they would be good , but then you take a bite and have to spit it out.

By the way my word for the day is “interject”

Really, life it is like a box of chocolates, you have your sweet moments, and the moments that you bite right into and it makes you sick. You have the moments when you just stick your finger in the middle of it to test and see if you want to try it. Then there are the times when you find that one special piece of chocolate when its just pure happiness and there are no other distractions mixed in.

And its at that moment when you know all is right with the world, because God will always lead through the bad chocolates to that wonderful piece he wants you to have.

Am I making since to any one out there? Huh? Huh? Or am I just rambling and talking to myself?

Come on people interject you thoughts.

What a wonderful post! And I agree totally.

Of course, I still can't believe that Jessie will graduate this spring. It doesn't seem like it's been that long!

Of course it makes sense, chocolate is involved!

Anything with chocolate makes sense! You have a beautiful family!
