Trying to fill Valarie's shoes

Its a hard job but she's making me do it. :) I don't know what to talk about other than to introduce myself. Officially. I know I have "talked" to y'all before, but we have never officially met. So here goes.

My name is Lisa. I'm one of Valarie's older sisters. I'm married to Shane and mother to Jim. We stay pretty busy, but not nearly as busy as Valarie and her family. My husband Shane is a musician, http://www.shaneadkins.com/. My son likes to ride his dirt bike "cringe" and will start practicing for school football tomorrow. Ummmmm, I'm already running out of things to say. Are y'all asleep yet?

I have monkey toes. Is that interesting? I can pick up a dollar's worth of change (two quarters, three dimes, and four nickles) at one time with one foot and walk across the floor with it. Impressed? YOU SHOULD BE. :) I'm kidding about that "YOU SHOULD BE" part. I wouldn't want to assume. My hubby wrote a song about it. Wanna hear? You can hear just about all of it here. http://cdbaby.com/cd/adkins3 Oh. and the one called "Turn Over" on that same cd? Its about our married life. Its intense. Really.

10 random facts about me:

1. I've recently had to start using reading glasses.

2. I love gardens but have a black thumb.

3. I change my hobbies like the wind blows.

4. I used to have chickens but my hubby thought they were too messy so we gave them the axe. JUST KIDDING! We gave them away.

5. Before pregnancy, my shoe size was 8 to 8 1/2 now its 9 1/2 to 10. You don't even want to know about my pants size. Even if you do, I don't want to tell you. :)

6. I love to cook but hate to clean.

7. I like anything that is old fashioned. I could almost recite "Little House on the Prairie" or "The Waltons" or "Andy Griffith."

8. I'm a procastinator.

9. Sometimes I fall asleep during my night time prayers. Sometimes I forget all together. Most times I'm a sinner a thousand times over. Lord, please forgive me.

10. I'm forgiven. (That sounds trite and I certainly don't mean for it to. I just wanted you to know that I'm not perfect yet even in all my ugliness, I'm forgiven by my Savior.)

Thank you Lord.

Well thats more about me than you wanted to know. Who are you? I know some of you but not most of you. I think Valarie knows all of y'all but I don't. What makes you tick?

...and while we're at it, is there anything y'all want to know about Valarie while she's gone? Be nice though....I promised not to throw her under the bus. But I didn't say we wouldn't have fun while she's gone. :) :)

Lots-O-Love, Lisa

Nice to meet you, Lisa! I don't think I made it past the "monkey toes" confession. Wow. That's talent!! I have short, stubby toes, so I'm very impressed.

You did a great job filling Valarie's shoes - and since your shoe size has gone up so much it wasn't hard to do (HAHAHA). I am Valarie's and Lisa's oldest sister and can get away with stuff like that. Good job, Lisa. See you soon.

Valarie, could you please get your skinny Momma booty back home? I am missing you and you need to get back to Blogland where you belong. There is a huge VOID in my blog life and it is Valarie - sized (a petite void actually).

I miss you!

The monkey toes.... TOO much! :-)

I have always made fun of my twin sister's toes because they all are the same size across, which results in SQUARE feet!

Glad to have you as our guest speaker on Val's site. Good job!
