So we just had the weirdest thing happen. As I was sitting here minding my own business, just jumping around the blogging world, because ya know I have all the laundry and cleaning caught up. I get this phone call on my cell phone. I don't recognize the number, but I answer it anyway. This is how the converstion goes (clears throat):

Me: Hello (in a very sweet southern voice mind you. I don't know who this is, it could be the President or Governor or something)

Person: Hey this is Danny

Me: Hey (At this point I am feverishly searching my brain for a Danny that I know that would be calling me)

Person/Danny: So have you, (and then he mumbled something I really could not understand)

Me: What ( Because I could not understand him)

Person/Danny: Have you peed in your pants lately?

Me: What?!?!?!?!?!?!? (At this point I am thinking this is a grown man surely I have heard him wrong)

Person/Danny: Have you, (again can't understand a word he said, I wonder if he is under the influence?)

Me: Click

So I sit there for a minute trying to figure out what just happened. I call Logan into the room and try to explain what just happened. He takes the phone and he quietly walks back into our bedroom. I can here him in there talking, but he never raises his voice. A few minutes later he walks back into his office laughing. Apparently he calls the number back. This is how he says the converstion goes (clears throat):
Logan: Did someone just call here and say nasty things to my wife? (He says he said it in a very mean tone)

Person/Danny: Is this Chris?

Logan: NO
Person/Danny: Oh Man I am so sorry, I did not mean to say anything nasty to your wife, Oh man I had the wrong number. Oh man I am so sorry.
(Ok I am wondering at this point, was he meaning to be nasty to Chris's wife, because I really don't think Chris would appreciate that)
Logan: (Laughing at this point) Well alright then. (I'm sure there was other stuff said, but Logan does not elaborate to much)

So ok all that is over with. Back to what I was doing jumping around blogworld. About 15 minutes go by. Phone rings with the same number. I, not wanting to talk to Danny again, go to give the phone to Logan. By the time I walk into the living room to give him the phone the call had went to voice mail. Logan asked for the password for my voice mail I give it to him with a warning that he will have to check many voice mails in order to get to Danny's because I never check voice mails on my phone. So Logan comes back into the office, he says after listening to 14 of my voice mails he got to Danny's and that he was again apologizing for calling me by mistake that he had one number off and he was terribly sorry.
So Danny if your out there somewhere reading this blog, I just want you to know that I forgive you for prank calling me by mistake. Let this be a lesson to you though. You are an adult, adults shouldn't be prank calling other adults, but if your gonna do it make sure you get the number right.

And to the 14 people on my voice mail, well sorry, but if you listened to my message I told you I probably wouldn't listen to it anyway.

That's the first time I heard of prank caller, calling back to say he was sorry.

A prank caller with a conscience. Wow. Probably a pastor's son.

Good grief we are so much alike. I don't check my voice mail either. And I agree with Nadine, what a polite prank caller!

We live right down the street from that house. Next to BJH. It is so cool to meet people from all over the world and also from your backyard. Our boys play baseball but my 17 year old doesn't, she was color guard with BJ so we played your school in football.

I have heard of someone at Disney that saw a blog person and recognized them b/c of photos with kids and all- they were too timid to say hi b/c they thought the other person would think they were some weird stalker. So, if in Walmart say hi. But, if I was just yelling at my kids play like you don't know me.

adults shouldn't be prank calling? Of course they should! *lol* My husband does it all the time....

Not like Danny though.. I wonder what's so funny about his 'joke'? My husband would scare people in church by saying he's pastor such-and-such who has heard complaints about them.. or calling people in a woman's voive and pretending to be some friend of theirs... or he'd even call someone telling he's hugo chavez.. nothing serious ;)

Greetings from the netherlands!

too funny...people are so strange! Don't they have better things to do with their time (like blog?)*L*My husband gets so irritated with me even if I have one message I haven't listened too. "It may be important" he says..."If it is, they'll call back" I says!
p.s. I landed in here via Peace & Pandemonium trough one of her commenters. funny blog!)

It's hard to prank call in this day and age with caller ID. You have to put in one of those special *numbers to block your ID being sent. (I only know this because my hubby's a lawyer and blocks his cell phone number from showing up on clients' caller IDs. If they had his cell number they'd call him nonstop) Really. I don't EVER prank
