FRO ME TO YOU :)

I am killing two birds with one stone. I am doing a meme that Rhea tagged me to do, and I am participating in a new Blog Carnival over at We are THAT Family. Believe me you really have to put yourself out there for this one.

So here I go!!!

6 random things about muah

1. I have a texture issue. I don’t like certain textures in certain things I am eating. For instance I do not like nuts in anything I eat. Now I will eat them alone, but not cooked or put into anything. The same thing goes for onions, but I don’t like them altogether. I will eat an onion ring, but I don’t eat the onion just the batter.

2. I am a procrastinator. It’s a bad habit and I am trying to stop it, but I keep putting it off.

3. I do not like the sound of people smacking there food. If I can hear you eating it royally gets on my nerves. If you do this it’s a good thing you’re in blog land or I just might have to yell at you to stop it.

4. I would rather drink water than most anything else. Followed by Unsweet Tea. I know I live in the South, what about Sweet Tea. Well I love sweet tea, but I have this thing about drinking sugar. My mind thinks its worse than eating sugar. I don’t know why, but I feel like I am just gulping down pure sugar when I drink anything with it in it. If it has more than about 10 grams of sugar (and that is still high) I try not to drink it. This would also be a reason why I don’t drink coffee, I have to add to much sugar.

This could also stem from an issue I had with orange kool-aid while I was pregnant with the last child. I could not get enough of that sugary substance and as a result I gained 9 pounds in two weeks. The doctor told me that I had gained all the weight because I drank all those sugary drinks. Guess what? I still have those 9 pounds.

5. Sometimes I OCD over whether I locked the door or not. If I even think the thought in my head that I did not lock the door, even if I know I did, I have to go back and check it. It will bother me until I do.

6. If you did not already know, I had my first baby when I was 17. She is about to graduate High School and it makes me very sad. If you would like to read about her go here. You will also get to see another precious picture of me back in the day. :)

Beautiful photo! You and your daughter look so much alike. Especially when I see the picture of you at 17 and compare it to the picture of Jessie at 17 that you have in your "Family" picture on the right.

Those chairs are so great, aren't they? I have one of those photos too. I love the kool-aid bit. I'm sure I gained 9 pounds in two weeks almost every two weeks. I ate tons of krispy creme donuts. And also still have the 9 pounds.

Love the pic of you and your daughter! I think you and I went to the same hair stylist in the 80's!!

I'm a little OCD about some things, too. For me, it's not whether or not I locked the door, it's did I remember to turn off the iron. I finally bought (at my hubby's insistence) one of those irons that turns itself off after a period of time. (What if the timer fails or it turns back on...???)

What a perfect photo for the time! You look like you walked off of full house!
thanks for the comment on my blog ;-)
I have 2 out of the nest and 2 more to go, it doesn't get easier!

Love your list! And the photo!

I have the same issues with #2, #3, and #5....

My procrastination problem continues...that's why I'm drowning in my own to-do list...

For me it's APPLES! I can't STAND listening to my husband eat an apple....it's seriously enough to throw me over the edge!

And my OCD on the door locking thing comes in handy sometimes...last night, I was laying in bed and couldn't remember locking the back door...I was so darn comfortable in bed and did NOT want to get up to check but turns out it was a good thing I did cause I didn't.

I too am a procrastinator. BIG TIME!
Ohhhh and I so hate when people smack on their food too! Biggest annoyance ~ Drives me nuts. And I too was a young Momma. I got pregnant the fall after high school graduation. Not easy at all.
Loved learning these things about you. Great photo of you and your *baby* girl.

Loved today's entry so much I had to go check out the one on your oldest daughter, and that one really got me. Good for you for being mama and teen at the same time. That is some hard work! And you are right... God makes no mistakes. What a blessing to read this. Thanks!

OMG, I drank so much orange juice with my first pregnancy that I also gained 9 pounds in a month! Too funny . . . and yes, those pounds (and a few more) are STILL hanging out.

I have procrastinated getting rid of them for good! ;)

And that is the sweetest photo of you and your first!

Gotta love that 80's hair! Your sweet girl is adorable in that photo and I'm sure just as beautiful today!

Found you thru "we are That family"...enjoyed your blog!

Well, I meant to leave a comment earlier today, but I procrastinated and put it off. While I was reading the blog, I was drinking sweeeeeeet tea and smacking my potato salad with onions, and jello salad with pecans. (Just kiddin')

Oh and was that a dress or one of those balloon legged pants suits that were all the rage?

I want to see your famous Donnie Osmond hair cut....

Love, Lisa

Hi Valerie,
What a beautiful picture of you and Jesse. I love your hair! I am still stuck in the 80's, with a twist of the present! LOL! I have to have some height, but no more perms! I had my first born at 19. I graduated a year early by going to summer school so I could get married. Six months later I found out I was pregnant. I was so excited! I have to say, even though I am an Empty Nester at 49 years old, I am so happy I started childbearing early. I also have my Gina Marie who is going to be 24 on July 1st. And...I have a grandson that turned 8 in Feburary. He is the light of my life. I am still young and have enjoyed all kinds of fun stuff and memorable moments over the years. Even though illness has slowed me down some, I am still going, I may be down, but I am never out!!!
:-) I am getting around very well now and back on the bandwagon. My son is big on doing something every weekend as a family. They take me along alot of the times. The Zoo, The Butterfly Sanctuary in Canada, (we live only about 30 minutes from the Peace Bridge into Canada), The Aquarium, all kinds of things. I feel so blessed.

Life is to live...God blesses us with children to take care of for Him. You are doing a beautiful job. Bless Your Heart My Dear Friend.
Love Ya',
Kimmie
P.S. I left you a comment on the other page also.
